New Skater Program
The Winnipeg Roller Derby League is always looking for new recruits! Before skating up to the jam line, new recruits must go through the New Skater Program. A bootcamp of sorts, the New Skater Program is a 6-8 week program where we teach you the basic skills of skating, gameplay, and strategy that you need to play the game of roller derby.

Volunteering
Do you want to get involved with the Winnipeg Roller Derby League, but don’t want to be a full-contact skater? There are so many ways to do this! WRDL functions with the help of a dedicated group of volunteers, ranging from on-skates referees to non-skating officials to event volunteers. We love our volunteers!
Refereeing
Referees are essential to roller derby. Without them we cannot play. If you have a love of rules, skating, whistles, and stripes, refereeing may be for you!
Non-Skating Officials
Our Non-Skating Officials are just as important. NSOs keep track of penalties, time, scorekeeping and so much more! If you love details, stopwatches, numbers, wearing pink, and having the best seat in the house, NSOing could be the job for you!
Event Volunteers
Event volunteers help out with WRDL’s public events such as games. Volunteer jobs include ticket taking, selling drink tickets and 50/50 tickets, medics, and many more!
